Requirements for: Toronto Area Service Engineers (2 Positions)
Electrical/Electronic Service Engineer (1)
- Technical Education: Apprenticeship, Technical College or University Degree.
- Minimum Five (5) Years of previous CNC trouble shooting experience is desirable.
- Working knowledge of “G” Code programming highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Fanuc, Yasnac, Heidenhain and Siemens controls necessary.
- Familiarity with ladder editing and reading.
- Knowledge of high speed machining processes.
- Knowledge of machines adjustments.
- Knowledge of machines accuracy tests procedure.
- Ability to travel through Canada.
- French language an asset for Montreal area.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Knowledge of PC and CAD/CAM an asset.
Mechanical Service Engineer (2)
- Technical Education: Apprenticeship, Technical College or University Degree.

Product Service Engineer (1)

- Extensive training at European manufactures (Italy and Germany) will be provided.

MACHINE TOOL FITTER

EMCI is seeking a professional with five plus years of demonstrated experience as a Machine Tool Fitter for a challenging full-time, permanent position in our Service Engineering Department.
Summary of Job Responsibilities
- Installing Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, as required, either at EMCI business premises, or, at customers facility to ensure seamless installation;
- Performing CNC demonstrations and training at EMCI’s facility and at customer sites which can vary in location;
- Moving and aligning components and subassemblies using a variety of lifting and transporting devices;
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, mechanical assembly drawings such as spindles and electrical diagrams;
- Installation/servicing and repairing CNC machines, as required;
- Testing/preparing machines at EMCI’s showroom/warehouse and for shipment;
- Caring, organizing and maintaining CNC machines, CAD/CAM equipment and inventory;
- Preparing turnkey packages for EMCI customers which will include tooling selection, fixture recommendation and possibly design;
- Any other duties as assigned, such as attendance at machine tool shows, etc.
Job Requirements
- Completion of relevant Apprenticeship and/or Technical College;
- Minimum 5+ years CNC troubleshooting machine tool experience;
- Demonstrated expertise with Siemens controls;
- Demonstrated expertise with PLC editing in both Siemens and Fanuc controls;
- Demonstrated expertise with Fanuc, Heidenhain and Siemen controls;
- Demonstrated expertise in PC and CAD/CAM programs;
- Solid knowledge and experience with high-speed machining processes and knowledge in Hydraulic and Pneumatic power systems including installation of major components;
- Knowledge of machine accuracy test procedures in 5 axis;
- Knowledge of high-speed machining processes, assembly and adjustments;
- Knowledge and experience with multi axis assembly/disassembly;
- Knowledge of machine accuracy and geometry tests procedures;
- Certificate of MAXIA spindle replacement;
- Prior welding experience;
- Strong work ethic, team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service a must!
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written;
- Ability to travel extensively, where needed.

Elliott-Matsuura Canada Inc. has an immediate opening for an exciting and fulfilling sales position in Ontario.
In this position you will be responsible for sales activities in the designated territory including: the sales process, discovering leads, needs analysis for potential customers, designing and recommending a manufacturing solution, promoting that solution and maintaining a good relationship with customers.
Successful candidates will be self-motivated, energetic, technical, a team player and must possess excellent communications and problem solving skills. A Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is an asset but not required. Candidates with the following knowledge and skills will be given consideration:
– Fabrication Equipment knowledge including: Lasers, Brakes, Shears, Punch Presses, and Waterjet Systems.
– Must have working knowledge of reading mechanical engineered prints
– Familiar with Windows based computers and software.
– Familiar with customer databases for the purpose of reporting and follow-ups.
